Springbank School understands that local charities play a huge role in the Northland community.
At Springbank School, we are very proud to support both local and national charities through a variety of fundraising ideas such as dress up days, BBQs, Market Day Stalls and more.
Every two years, one local charity is chosen as our main “Charity Champion”. We raise money at school and donate to the charity throughout the year. We also raise awareness of the charity by offering support at local events and promotion through our newsletter and our Facebook page.
Springbank School appreciates the vision and commitment that Sea Cleaners has, towards protecting the New Zealand coastline. Living in the Bay of the Islands, we understand how fortunate we are to have access to some of the most beautiful coastlines and marine life in New Zealand.
Sea Cleaners is an ambitious non-profit organisation with a big vision. They are committed to safely eliminating rubbish from New Zealand's waterways and coastlines, while inspiring global behavioral change to stop waste from entering our oceans. The Sea Cleaners Trust team has removed over 14.6 million litres of waste from our waterways since 2002.
Sea Cleaners is passionate about educating people on responsible waste disposal practices, such as recycling, and understanding the dire consequences of littering and how trash can infiltrate and contaminate our precious waterways.
Through focused education and outreach, Sea Cleaners are not just cleaning but preventing - creating a ripple effect of individual and collective responsibility that stops waste from reaching our waterways in the first place, so that our marine environment can thrive for generations to come.
Springbank School is proud to be supporting Sea Cleaners with their projects & campaigns across 2024 and 2025.
Our vision is straightforward and inspiring: we're committed to preserving New Zealand's stunning coastline for the benefit of marine life and for the enjoyment of all.
