The Springbank Fireworks Extravaganza has been running since 2011. The main purpose of the event is so that family and friends of the school and the wider Bay of Islands community, can enjoy a large-scale fireworks show. The event secondly a fundraising opportunity for the Friends of Springbank School. The event is fully organised by the Friends of Springbank School Committee, along with help from school students, parents and staff.
The Fireworks show is professionally organised and run by qualified pyrotechnic specialists, who create a spectacular 10-minute show for the public.
Each year approximately 2500+ people from all over the Bay of Islands enjoy an evening of live music, food and drink stalls, bouncy castle for the kids and the dazzling fireworks show.
Year on year we consistently receive fantastic feedback from the local community, and we are very proud of this unique event.
The Springbank Fireworks Extravaganza is completely alcohol, smoke, vape and drug fee and is a wonderfully safe, family friendly event.
What a fantastic event for 2024! We had just over 2,700 spectators come through the gates and join us for the Fireworks Extravaganza and enjoy the evening with us. The weather held off, which was perfect, and the crowd atmosphere was relaxed and happy.
